On Thursday, March 20 (the day before Good Friday) the New England History Teachers’ Association and Framingham State College will be hosting a student conference on the study of the Cold War. We are inviting all high school students and their teachers to attend this conference. Noted Cold War expert Michael Kort will give the keynote address; additional student sessions will be on Understanding the Cold War through by American and Soviet popular culture, The Cold War and Civil Rights, the role of the media in the Cold War, and a simulation activity on the Korean War. We will also have sessions for teachers attending on teaching the origins of the Cold War and Cold War resources available at the JFK library.
